Faith and wisdom (chapter 1)

James addressed his fellow Jewish Christian brothers.  They should enjoy a trial that tested their faith and led to endurance and patience.  Thus, they would no longer lack wisdom.  They would become mature, lacking nothing.  However, if they lacked wisdom, they should just ask God for it since he is generous.  He will give it to you.  Do not be a doubter, who is like a wave on the sea, tossed by the wind.  The double-minded doubter is unstable.  He cannot expect to receive anything from the Lord.  Are you double-minded?
