Thank you! – 70

In less than a month, I have finished reading and commenting on the Letter of 1 John.  I have now finished the New Testament four canonical gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, plus the Acts of the Apostles, and Paul’s letters to the Romans, as well 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and Hebrews.  I have also finished the Letter of James, 1 Peter and 2 Peter, and now 1 John.  Every time I finish commenting on a book of the Bible, I send a thank you blog.  I usually post five blogs a day covering a verse of the biblical books.  So far, I have posted over 15,700 blogs about the individual paragraphs of all the 46 books of the Old Testament, plus the individual verses of the first 23 books of the New Testament.  It has taken me nine years to get this done, since I first began in 2013.

262 people follow this blog every day.  Many people have visited this site.  There have been over 83,000 hits on this blog since its inception.  I just want to thank all of you.  Word Press sent me a compilation that showed that about 52,200 people from 174 other countries have visited this web site since its inception.

I realize that over 14,500 people have left comments in 2021, but I have not responded to them.  Some of you might want to moderate my comments, which is fine with me.  If you want to contact me directly, my email is efinne1540@gmail.com.

I want to thank all of you who have sent emails to me this past month, especially

Epilogue (chapter 5)

This author said that we have confidence in God.  If we ask anything, God hears us.  He responds to our just requests.  If you see anyone committing sin, other than a moral or deadly sin, ask God to give him life and he will do so.  There is such a thing as a mortal or deadly sin.  All wrongdoing is a sin, but not all sins are killer mortal sins.  Those born of God do not sin.  God protects them from the evil one.  We are from God as his children.  However, the whole world lies under the power of the evil one.  We know that the Son of God has given us understanding with his coming.  Thus, we know who is true.  We are with the true one, Jesus Christ, the Son of the true God with eternal life.  Finally, stay away from idols.  Do you stay away from idol worship of material things?

The Son of God (chapter 5)

This author said that Jesus Christ came with water and blood, not with water only.  The Holy Spirit testifies to the truth, because he is truth.  These three testify, the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and they all agree.  If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater.  God has testified about his Son.  Those who believe in the Son of God have this testimony in their hearts.  However, those who not believe in God have made him a liar.  They do not believe his testimony about his Son, that eternal life is with his Son.  Anyone who has the Son, also has life.  Anyone who does not have the Son, does not have eternal life.  He was writing these things so that they might believe in the Son of God and eternal life.  Do you believe in eternal life?

Faith conquers the world (chapter 5)

This author said that everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God.  If you love the parent, you will also love the child.  We love the children of God when we love God and his commandments. The love of God is to obey his not burdensome commandments.  If you are born of God, you can conquer the world.  Our faith conquers all.  Who then can conquer the world?  The answer is simple.  Anyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.  Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

God lives in us (chapter 4)

This author said that no one has ever seen God.  However, if we love one another, God lives in us.  His love is perfected in us.  We know that we abide in God, and he in us, because he has given us his Holy Spirit.  We have seen and testify that God the Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world.  God lives in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God.  Of course, they abide in God.  We know and believe that God loves us.  God is love.  If you live in love, you abide in God, and God in you.  Love has been perfected among us.  We will be bold and confident on the day of judgment.  Perfect love has no fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  If you still fear, then you have not reached perfect love.  We love because God first loved us.  Saying that you love God and hate your brother is lying.  If you cannot love a brother whom you see, how can you love God whom you do not see?  The commandment is simple.  If you love God, you must love your brother.  Do you love your brother?

God is love (chapter 4)

This author said that love is from God, so that we should love one another.  Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love, does not know God.  God is love.  God’s love has been revealed among us by his only Son who came into the world to give us life.  Not that we loved God, but God loved us.  He sent his Son to be an atoning sacrifice for us.  Because he loves us so much, we ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God.  If we love one another, God lives in us.  His love is perfected in us, so that we ought to love like God.  Do you try to love like God?

Testing the spirits (chapter 4)

This author said not to believe every spirit.  They had to test to see if these spirits are from God.  Many false prophets have arisen in this world.  The Spirit of God confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh.  Everyone who does not confess that Jesus is from God is the antichrist that is already here.  You have already conquered the world.  The God in you is greater than the world.  They are from the world.  Thus, the world listens to them because what they say is from this world.  We are from God.  Anyone who knows God, listens to us.  Anyone who is not from God does not listen to us.  We know the difference between truth and error.  Do you know the difference between truth and error?

Our hearts tell us the truth (chapter 3)

This author said that we would know that we are from the truth, when our hearts are before God.  Our hearts will condemn us.  God is greater than our hearts, because God knows everything.  If our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God.  We obey his commandments and do what pleases him, because we accept whatever he asks of us.  What does your heart tell you?

Love one another (chapter 3)

This author said that the basic message was love one another.  You have heard this from the beginning.  Do not be like Cain, the evil one who murdered his brother.  His own deeds were evil, but his brother was righteous.  The world hates you.  We know that we have passed from death to life because we love one another.  Anyone who does not love remains in death.  If you hate someone, you are a murderer.  Murderers do not have eternal life.  True love is that Jesus laid down his life for us.  Thus, we ought to lay down our lives for one another.  You should help your brother, if you have worldly goods and see a brother in need.  God’s love abides in you.  Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.  Do you hate anyone?
