Thank you! – 69

In less than three weeks, I have finished reading and commenting on the Letter of 2 Peter.  I have now finished the New Testament four canonical gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, plus the Acts of the Apostles, and Paul’s letters to the Romans, as well 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and Hebrews.  I have finished the Letter of James, 1 Peter and 2 Peter.  Every time I finish commenting on a book of the Bible, I send a thank you blog.  I usually post five blogs a day covering a verse of the biblical books.  So far, I have posted over 15,565 blogs about the individual paragraphs of all the 46 books of the Old Testament, plus the individual verses of the first 22 books of the New Testament.  It has taken me nine years to get this done, since I first began in 2013.

260 people follow this blog every day.  Many people have visited this site.  There have been over 83,000 hits on this blog since its inception.  I just want to thank all of you.  Word Press sent me a compilation that showed that about 52,200 people from 174 other countries have visited this web site since its inception.

I realize that over 14,500 people have left comments in 2021, but I have not responded to them.  Some of you might want to moderate my comments, which is fine with me.  If you want to contact me directly, my email is efinne1540@gmail.com.

I want to thank all of you who have sent emails to me this past month, especially

Paul and his writings (chapter 3)

This author spoke about Paul and his wisdom.  Paul had written them letters with some things that were hard to understand.  However, the ignorant and unstable ones twisted his writings as they had done to the other works of scripture.  They were being forewarned, so that they should not be carried away with the lawless errors that would make them unstable.  Instead, they should grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom all glory belongs both now and forever.  Have you ever tried to twist scripture?

Holiness (chapter 3)

This author asked what kind of life should they lead while awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?  His answer was very simple, a holy and godly life.  They should wait and hasten the coming of the day of God, when there will be a great blaze that will set everything on fire.  God has promised us a new heaven and a new earth as a home for the righteous.  Do you want to live with righteous people?

The last days (chapter 3)

This author insisted that they must know that on the last days, scoffers or mockers would come indulging their lusts.  They will say, where is this second coming?  There is no end of time.  Their ancestors died, yet things continued on as if from the beginning of creation.  They ignore the fact of the divine existence of heaven and earth.  God formed earth out of water.  He sent a flood of water where the evil ones perished.  The present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire and the destruction of the godless on the day of judgment.  What do you expect on the day of judgment?

The future of the evil ones (chapter 2)

This author said that the deepest darkness has been reserved for these sinners.  They are like waterless springs and mists in a storm.  They speak bombastic nonsense.  They are filled with licentious desires of the flesh.  They entice people who have just escaped from evil error.  They promise freedom, but they are slaves of their own corruption.  They are worse off now.  After they had escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of Jesus Christ, they are now again entangled and overpowered by the corruption of this world.  It would have been better to have never known the way of righteousness than to have turned away from the holy commandment of God.  They are like dogs turning back to their vomit and pigs after being washed wallowing in mud.  Have you ever been promised a false freedom?

The evil lustful humans (chapter 2)

This author said that the worst are the lustful ones.  They despise authority, bold and willful.  They are not afraid to slander the glorious ones.  The powerful angels were spared.  These evil humans are like irrational animals and creatures of instinct.  They will suffer.  They slander what they do not understand.  They will be destroyed.  They will suffer the penalty for doing wrong.  They delight in reveling in the daytime.  They are blots and blemishes on society.  They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin.  They entice the unsteady ones.  They have their hearts trained in greed.  They are the cursed children.  Are you among the cursed lusty humans?
