καὶ αὐτός ἐστιν πρὸ πάντων καὶ τὰ πάντα ἐν αὐτῷ συνέστηκεν,
Paul said, “Christ himself is (καὶ αὐτός ἐστιν) before all things (πρὸ πάντων). In him (ἐν αὐτῷ), all things (καὶ τὰ πάντα) hold together (συνέστηκεν).” This hymn continued with saying that Christ was before all things, since he had a pre-existence before all things came into being. In fact, everything holds together because of Christ. He is a consistent sustainer of the on-going creation of everything, including this earthly world. He holds things together for the whole world. Not only was Christ at the beginning of creation, he continues to be the on-going creator of our world today. Without Jesus Christ, there is no world, nothing. With Jesus Christ, there is everything. He holds it all together. He has the whole world in his hands. Do you believe that everything holds together because of Jesus Christ?
