The descendants of Joseph

In Numbers, chapter 26:28-37, the two sons of Joseph included Manasseh, the first son who was not favored over Ephraim, the second son.  Apparently, Manasseh had only one son, Machir, so that his grandson Gilead was listed with more descendants.  Gilead is both a mountain and an area east of the Jordan.  Thus, this name appeared quite often.  The Gilead clan must have been important because all his children are specifically mentioned.  Shechem was both a place in Canaan, and another person named Shechem that was a Hivite prince in Genesis, chapter 34.  Hepher is interesting because his only son Zelophehad had 5 daughters and no sons so that there was a list of these 5 women, one of the few to appear in the genealogies.  They seem to play a bigger role as the daughters of Zelophehad.  One of the daughters is named Noah, the same as one of the central figures in Genesis, chapters 6-9.  Milcah was also the name of the wife of Nahor, the brother of Abraham, and the daughter of Haran and the sister of Lot.  She had eight children with Nahor.  There was a place called Tirzah.  Machir has his clan of the Machirites.  Gilead had his clan of the Gileadites.  Iezer had his clan of the Iezerites.  Helek had his clan of the Helekites.  Asriel had his clan of the Asrielites.  Shechem had his he clan of the Shechemites.  Shemida had his clan of the Shemidaites.  Hepher had his clan of the Hepherites.  Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but five daughters named Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.  The clans of Manasseh increased by 20,500, and went from 32,200 to 52,700, but there was no reason for the large increase in this tribe either.  The second son of Joseph was the favorite Ephraim, who had three sons.  One of the descendants of Benjamin had the same name, Becher, in Genesis, chapter 46.  Otherwise, there is nothing much about these three names, except that Eran was the only third generation mentioned, unlike the many mentioned with Manasseh.  Shuthelah had his clan of the Shuthelahites.  His son Eran had the clan of the Eranites.  Becher had the clan of the Becherites and Tahan had the clan of the Tahanites.  The number in the clans of Ephraim decreased by 8,000 people, 32,500 from 40,500.  What do you know about the sons of Joseph?
