You are observing special days (Gal. 4:10)

“You are observing

Special days,

Special months,

Special seasons,

And special years!”

ἡμέρας παρατηρεῖσθε καὶ μῆνας καὶ καιροὺς καὶ ἐνιαυτούς.

Paul said, “You are observing special days (ἡμέρας), months (καὶ μῆνας), seasons, (καὶ καιροὺς) and years (καὶ ἐνιαυτούς)!”  Paul wanted to know why they were observing the various Jewish festivals.  Apparently the Judaizers wanted them to observe the weekly day of the Sabbath, the monthly New Moon celebration, and the seasonal Passover and Pentecost festivals like the Jewish people.  They also wanted them to observe the Jewish new year.  In other words, they were becoming Jewish in their cultural and religious expressions.  Do you observe Jewish holy days?
