Luke said that as Jesus stepped out on the land (ἐξελθόντι δὲ αὐτῷ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν), a certain man from the city (ἀνήρ τις ἐκ τῆς πόλεως), who had demons (ἔχων δαιμόνια), met Jesus (ὑπήντησεν). For a long time (καὶ χρόνῳ ἱκανῷ), this man had worn no clothes (οὐκ ἐνεδύσατο ἱμάτιον). He did not live in a house (καὶ ἐν οἰκίᾳ οὐκ ἔμενεν), but in the tombs (ἀλλ’ ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν). All three synoptic gospels. Matthew, chapter 8:28, Mark, chapter 5:2-3, and Luke here, had Jesus travel to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. Mark, like Luke, said that Jesus met a man as he stepped out of the boat. This person came from the tombs, where he lived. No one could restrain him, even with chains, so that this was a strong violent possessed person. Matthew had Jesus meet 2 people possessed by the devil, who were menacing people as they passed by. They too also were coming out of the tombs. These two demonic people were so extremely violent or fierce, that no one could pass by them on their way. Only Luke, who had just one possessed man, said that this man was naked. Does clothing matter to you?
This incident about the withered fig tree continued here, where it was a complete whole in Matthew, chapter 21:18-20. Here in Mark, it was the next day after the curse when they were passing by it in the morning (Καὶ παραπορευόμενοι πρωῒ). Then they saw the withered or dried up fig tree, even its roots (εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν). Rather than immediately the same day, as in Matthew, the result was the same. The fig tree was dead.

This demonic person lived among the tombs (ὃς τὴν κατοίκησιν εἶχεν ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν). No one could restrain or bind him (οὐδεὶς ἐδύνατο αὐτὸν δῆσαι), even with chains (καὶ οὐδὲ ἁλύσει οὐκέτι). This was a strong violent possessed person.
This is almost word for word in Mark, chapter 15:29-30. In Luke, chapter 23:35, the religious leaders were doing the mocking. However, John did not have anyone making remarks about Jesus. Matthew said that some passing by people abused and derided Jesus (Οἱ δὲ παραπορευόμενοι ἐβλασφήμουν αὐτὸν). They shook their heads at Jesus (κινοῦντες τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν). They reminded Jesus (καὶ λέγοντες) that he had said if the Temple was destroyed (Ὁ καταλύων τὸν ναὸν), he would rebuild it in three days (καὶ ἐν τρισὶν ἡμέραις οἰκοδομῶν). They told Jesus to save himself (σῶσον σεαυτόν). If he was the Son of God (εἰ Υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ Θεοῦ), why didn’t he come down from the cross (καὶ κατάβηθι ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ). The taunting of these people seemed to turn on Jesus’ own words.
Yahweh passed by this infant Jerusalem in the field, flailing about in its blood. However, Yahweh took compassion and told the bloody baby in the field that it should live and grow up. So this baby Jerusalem grew up like a tall plant in the field. In fact, this baby girl grew to become a woman with fully formed breasts and long hair. However, she was still naked and bare.
