“The sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.”
Hodiah was the brother-in–law of Naham, whose name only appears here. He was the father or founder of Keilah, a town in Judah. Here we have the 2nd founding of Eshtemoa, since Ishbah also founded this town. Maacathite refers to people from Maacah, a small country near Canaan. There must have been some connection between Eshtemoa and Maacah.
