I live by faith (Gal. 2:20)

“It is no longer I who live,

But it is Christ

Who lives in me.

The life I now live

In the flesh,

I live by faith

In the Son of God,

Who loved me

And gave himself for me.”

Paul said, “It is no longer I who live (ζῶ δὲ οὐκέτι ἐγώ), but it is Christ (Χριστός) who lives in me (ζῇ δὲ ἐν ἐμοὶ).  The life I now live in the flesh (ὃ δὲ νῦν ζῶ ἐν σαρκί), I live by faith (ἐν πίστει ζῶ) in the Son of God (τῇ τοῦ Υἱοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ), who loved me (τοῦ ἀγαπήσαντός με) and gave himself (καὶ παραδόντος ἑαυτὸν) for me (ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ).”  Paul now lives a new life.  Christ lives within him.  He no longer lives the mere fleshy human life.  He lives by faith in the Son of God.  Jesus loved him and gave up his life for him.  Paul entered into this new union with Jesus through his baptism.  Do you live by faith?
