God give you inner strength (Eph. 3:16)

“I pray

That according to the riches

Of his glory,

God may grant

That you might be strengthened

In your inner being

Through his Spirit.”

Paul said, “I pray that according to the riches (κατὰ τὸ πλοῦτος) of his glory (τῆς δόξης), God may grant that you (ἵνα δῷ ὑμῖν) might be strengthened (δυνάμει κραταιωθῆναι) in your inner being (τὸν ἔσω ἄνθρωπον) through his Spirit (διὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος αὐτοῦ).”  Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians was the strength of their inner self or their soul, not their physical body strength.  He hoped that the rich glory of God would grant them this inner personal strength.  He prayed that the Holy Spirit would bring and continue within them to give power or strength to their souls.  Do you feel the strength of the Holy Spirit?
