“But after the three and half days,
The breath of life
On their feet.
Those who saw them
As great fear
Fell on them.”
John said, “But after the three and half days (καὶ μετὰ τὰς τρεῖς ἡμέρας καὶ ἥμισυ), the breath of life (πνεῦμα ζωῆς) from God (ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ) entered them (εἰσῆλθεν ἐν αὐτοῖς). They stood (καὶ ἔστησαν) on their feet (ἐπὶ τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν). Those who saw them (ἐπὶ τοὺς θεωροῦντας αὐτούς) were terrified as great fear fell on them (καὶ φόβος μέγας ἐπέπεσεν).” John said that after three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two dead witnesses. All the people who saw this were really scared. Once again, this is like Ezekiel, chapter 37:1-14, about bringing people back to life. Have you ever seen seemingly dead people come back to life?
