The second angel blew his trumpet (Rev 8:8)

“The second angel

Blew his trumpet.

Something like a great mountain,

Burning with fire,

Was thrown

Into the sea.”

Καὶ ὁ δεύτερος ἄγγελος ἐσάλπισεν· καὶ ὡς ὄρος μέγα πυρὶ καιόμενον ἐβλήθη εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν·

John said, “The second angel (Καὶ ὁ δεύτερος ἄγγελος) blew his trumpet (ἐσάλπισεν).  Something like a great mountain (καὶ ὡς ὄρος μέγα), burning with fire (πυρὶ καιόμενον), was thrown (ἐβλήθη) into the sea (εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν).”  John said that the second of the seven angels blew his trumpet.  John was a little vague when he recounted that something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea.  Not only was the ground effected by the trumpet blasts, but so was the sea.  Have you ever seen a mountain burn?
