Location of this writing

These three Johannine letters do not indicate the location of the authorship, but the earliest quotations of them are from the writings of Polycarp (69-155), Papias (60-130), and Irenaeus (130-202), who all came from the province of Asia Minor.  Thus, it is likely that these epistles were also written in Asia Minor or present-day Turkey.  Church tradition typically places them in the city of Ephesus, and there is no reason to doubt that.  Do you know where Ephesus is?
