Testament structure

The idea that 2 Peter was an example of an ancient literary genre known as a “testament”, has arisen in the past fifty years. The “testament” idea originally arose from Moses’ farewell discourse in Deuteronomy.  This testament had ethical warnings to be followed after the death of the writer.  On top of that, there were revelations about the future.  However, this “testament” genre was meant to be a transparent fiction.  In other words, this work may be a work of fiction purportedly from Peter, the leader of the apostles.  What do you think about Moses’ farewell address in Deuteronomy?
