The day of judgment (2 Pet 3:7)

“But by the same word,

The present heavens

And the earth

Have been reserved

For fire,

Being kept

Until the day of judgment

And the destruction

Of the godless humans.”

This author said, “But by the same word (τῷ αὐτῷ λόγῳ), the present heavens (οἱ δὲ νῦν οὐρανοὶ) and the earth (καὶ ἡ γῆ) have been reserved (τεθησαυρισμένοι εἰσὶν) for fire (πυρὶ), being kept (τηρούμενοι) until the day of judgment (εἰς ἡμέραν κρίσεως) and the destruction (καὶ ἀπωλείας) of the godless humans (τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνθρώπων).”  This author explained that heaven and earth have been saved from fire up to this point by the word of God.  They are being kept intact until the final day of judgment when all the godless wicked evil humans would be destroyed.  They are living on borrowed time.  What do you think about the final day of judgment?
