“Therefore,
I intend
To keep on reminding you
Of these things,
Though you know them already
And are established
In the truth
That has come
To you.”
This author said “Therefore (Διὸ), I intend to keep on (μελλήσω ἀεὶ) reminding (ὑπομιμνῄσκειν) you (ὑμᾶς) of these things (περὶ τούτων), though you know (εἰδότας) them already (καίπερ) and are established (καὶ ἐστηριγμένους) in the truth that has come to you (ἐν τῇ παρούσῃ ἀληθείᾳ).” This author reminded his readers that that he was going to keep on reminding them about the importance of faith, knowledge, and love. He realized that they knew about these things, since they were living a life full of faith, knowledge, and love. The truth had come to them, but he was still going to continue to remind them to live up to their own expectations. Do you live up to your own Christian expectations?
