You love Jesus Christ (1 Pet 1:8)

“Although you have not seen

Jesus Christ,

You love him.

Even though you do not see him now,

You believe in him

And rejoice

With an indescribable

And glorious joy.”

This author said, “Although you have not seen Jesus Christ (ὃν οὐκ ἰδόντες), you love him (ἀγαπᾶτε).  Even though you do not see him now (εἰς ὃν ἄρτι μὴ ὁρῶντες), you believe in him (πιστεύοντες) and rejoice (δὲ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε) with an indescribable (ἀνεκλαλήτῳ) and glorious joy (χαρᾷ).”  Only this author, 1 Peter, among all the canonical NT works used this word ἀνεκλαλήτῳ, that means unspeakable or indescribable.  This author noted that they had not seen Jesus Christ, yet they loved him and believed in him.  They now rejoiced with an unspeakable and glorious joy.  They were really happy although they had never seen Jesus Christ.  Despite that handicap, they still loved and believed in Jesus Christ, since they had a joyous belief in Jesus.  Do you have a joyous belief in Jesus Christ?
