The imperishable inheritance (1 Pet 1:4)

“He has given us

An inheritance

That is imperishable,

And unfading,

Kept in heaven

For you.”

εἰς κληρονομίαν ἄφθαρτον καὶ ἀμίαντον καὶ ἀμάραντον, τετηρημένην ἐν οὐρανοῖς εἰς ὑμᾶς

This author said, “He has given us an inheritance (εἰς κληρονομίαν) that is imperishable (ἄφθαρτον), undefiled (καὶ ἀμίαντον), and unfading (ἀμάραντον), kept (τετηρημένην) in heaven (ἐν οὐρανοῖς) for you (εἰς ὑμᾶς).”  Only this author, 1 Peter, among all the canonical NT works used this word ἀμάραντον, that means unfading or enduring.  This author explained that God has given us an imperishable, undefiled, and unfading inheritance.  We have received this eternal inheritance that is reserved for us in heaven.  Our inheritance is not here on earth but in eternity.  Do you believe that you have an eternal inheritance?
