You need endurance (Heb 10:36)

“You need endurance.

When you have done

The will of God,

You may receive

What was promised.”

ὑπομονῆς γὰρ ἔχετε χρείαν ἵνα τὸ θέλημα τοῦ Θεοῦ ποιήσαντες κομίσησθε τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν.

This author said, “You need (γὰρ ἔχετε χρείαν) endurance (ὑπομονῆς).  Thus, when (ἵνα) you have done (ποιήσαντες) the will (τὸ θέλημα) of God (τοῦ Θεοῦ), you may receive (κομίσησθε) what was promised (τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν).”  This author reminded the Jewish Christians that they needed endurance or patience.  They had done the will of God.  Now they were about to receive God’s promises.  They had to hang in there.  They had to endure to get the promised reward of eternal life.  Are you able to endure in life?
