I was appointed an apostle (2 Tim. 1:11)

“For this gospel,

I was appointed

A herald,

An apostle,

And a teacher.”

εἰς ὃ ἐτέθην ἐγὼ κήρυξ καὶ ἀπόστολος καὶ διδάσκαλος·

Paul said, “For this gospel (εἰς ὃ), I was appointed (ἐτέθην ἐγὼ) a herald (κήρυξ), an apostle (καὶ ἀπόστολος), and a teacher (καὶ διδάσκαλος).”  Only this letter to Timothy used this unique word κήρυξ, that means a herald, a preacher, or a proclaimer.  Paul maintained that he was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher for this gospel of Jesus Christ.  Paul was not shy about his position on Jesus Christ.  Paul understood his mission as an apostolic teaching proclaimer.  Do you understand your Christian mission?
