The grace of our Lord (2 Thess. 3:18)

“The grace

Of our Lord

Jesus Christ

Be with all of you.”

ἡ χάρις τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν.

Paul said, “The grace (ἡ χάρις) of our Lord (τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν) Jesus Christ (Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ) be with all of you (μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν).”  This is the same as at the end of 1 Thessalonians, chapter 5:28, “The grace (Ἡ χάρις) of our Lord (τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν) Jesus Christ (Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ) be with you (μεθ’ ὑμῶν)!”  Paul ended this letter with a wish that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with the Thessalonians.  This was a common way of ending the letters.  He wanted God’s grace to be with them.  Paul wanted the grace of Jesus to be with all the believers in Thessalonica.  Do you want God’s grace in your life?
