The return of Jesus (chapter 4)

Paul did not want them to be uniformed about those who had died.  They did not have to grieve like those people who have no hope.  They believed that Jesus died and rose again, so that God will raise up those who have died.  At the coming of the Lord, the people alive will not precede those who have died.  The Lord will descend from heaven with a command cry, with an archangel’s call, and the sound of God’s trumpet.  The dead will rise with Christ first.  The living will then meet the Lord in the air clouds.  Then all of us will be with the Lord forever.  Until then, let us encourage one another with these words.  Do you believe that the dead will rise with Jesus Christ?
