May God direct us to you (1 Thess. 3:11)

“May God himself,

Our Father,

And our Lord Jesus

Direct our way

To you.”

Paul said, “May God himself (Αὐτὸς δὲ ὁ Θεὸς), our Father (καὶ Πατὴρ ἡμῶν) and our Lord Jesus (καὶ ὁ Κύριος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦς) direct (κατευθύναι) our way (τὴν ὁδὸν ἡμῶν) to you (πρὸς ὑμᾶς·).”  Paul had a prayer to God at the end of this section.  He wanted God, his Father, and his Lord Jesus to direct his way or steps to them at Thessalonica.  Paul wanted God and Jesus Christ to lead him back to the Christian Thessalonians.  Have you ever wanted God to bring you someplace?
