“In our prayers
We always thank
Of our Lord
Εὐχαριστοῦμεν τῷ Θεῷ Πατρὶ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ πάντοτε περὶ ὑμῶν προσευχόμενοι,
Paul said, “In our prayers for you (περὶ ὑμῶν προσευχόμενοι) we always (πάντοτε) thank (Εὐχαριστοῦμεν) God (τῷ Θεῷ) the Father (Πατρὶ) of our Lord (τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν) Jesus Christ (Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ).” This is a little like Philippians chapter 1:3, where it was written “I thank (Εὐχαριστῶ) my God (τῷ Θεῷ μου) for every (ἐπὶ πάσῃ) remembrance of you (τῇ μνείᾳ ὑμῶν).” Paul indicated that he thanked God, the Father of Jesus Christ, every time that he remembered the people of Colossae. The relationship was between God the Father and the Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Do you thank God when you remember other people?
