Proclaiming Christ (chapter 1)

Paul said that some were proclaiming Jesus Christ from envy, but others were speaking with good will.  Some who loved the gospel knew that he was there to defend the gospel.  However, others were proclaiming the gospel out of selfish ambition, trying to increase Paul’s suffering.  It did not matter to Paul as long as Christ was proclaimed, whether with good motives or not.  He was just happy to see Jesus Christ proclaimed.
