Everyone sends greetings (Phil. 4:22)

“All the saints

Greet you,

Especially those of Caesar’s household.”

ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς πάντες οἱ ἅγιοι, μάλιστα δὲ οἱ ἐκ τῆς Καίσαρος οἰκίας.

Paul said, “All the saints (πάντες οἱ ἅγιοι) greet you (ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς), especially those of Caesar’s household (δὲ οἱ ἐκ τῆς Καίσαρος οἰκίας).”  Paul indicated that all the Christian saints with him greet the Christians at Philippi.  He implied that he was in an imperial prison, whether at Caesarea or Rome is not clear.  However, it seems that some of the people working for the Roman emperor had become Christians, even though they were still working for the emperor as his household staff.  Could you work for someone who does not believe like you do?
