Be kind! (Eph. 4:32)

“Be kind to one another,

Tenderhearted,

Forgiving one another,

As God

In Christ

Has forgiven you.”

Paul said, “Be kind to one another (γίνεσθε δὲ εἰς ἀλλήλους χρηστοί), tenderhearted (εὔσπλαγχνοι), forgiving one another (χαριζόμενοι ἑαυτοῖς), as God (καθὼς καὶ ὁ Θεὸς) in Christ (ἐν Χριστῷ) has forgiven you (ἐχαρίσατο ὑμῖν).”  Paul reminded the Ephesians that they should be kind to each other.  Not only that, but being tenderhearted they should forgive each other.  They should do all this because God through Jesus Christ has forgiven them, much like in the great Lord’s Prayer where they asked for forgiveness as they forgave their neighbors.  Do you tenderly forgive your neighbors?
