Different gifts (Eph. 4:11)

“The gifts he gave

Were that

Some would be apostles,

Some would be prophets,

Some would be evangelists,

Some would be pastors,

Some would be teachers.”

Paul said, “The gifts he gave (καὶ αὐτὸς ἔδωκεν) were that some would be apostles (τοὺς μὲν ἀποστόλους), some would be prophets (τοὺς δὲ προφήτας), some would be evangelists (τοὺς δὲ εὐαγγελιστάς), some would be shepherds or pastors (τοὺς δὲ ποιμένας), and some would be teachers (καὶ διδασκάλους).”  Paul explained that not everyone did the same thing.  God gave various gifts to the early Christian community leaders.  Some would be apostles, others prophets, still others evangelists.  Then too others would be shepherds, pastors, or teachers.  There was a variety of gifted graced fill ministries among these early followers of Jesus Christ.  Do you have a gift that you are not using?
