Christ might fill all things (Eph. 4:10)

“He who descended

Is the same one

Who also ascended

Far above

All the heavens,

So that he might fill

All things.”

ὁ καταβὰς αὐτός ἐστιν καὶ ὁ ἀναβὰς ὑπεράνω πάντων τῶν οὐρανῶν, ἵνα πληρώσῃ τὰ πάντα.

Paul said, “He who descended (ὁ καταβὰς αὐτός) is the same one who also ascended (ἐστιν καὶ ὁ ἀναβὰς) far above all the heavens (ὑπεράνω πάντων τῶν οὐρανῶν), so that he might fill all things (ἵνα πληρώσῃ τὰ πάντα).”  Only the Pauline letters used this word ὑπεράνω, that means high above or far above.  Paul explained that Christ is the same one who descended from heaven to earth and the underworld, but also the same person who ascended far above all the heavens.  Thus, Christ fills all things from heaven where he has ascended to.  Christ came down with the incarnation and rose with the resurrection.  He has saved us from eternal death.  Do you wish to spend eternity with Jesus Christ?
