“You gladly put up
With human fools,
Being wise yourselves!”
ἡδέως γὰρ ἀνέχεσθε τῶν ἀφρόνων φρόνιμοι ὄντες·
Paul said that you gladly put up with fools (ἡδέως γὰρ ἀνέχεσθε τῶν ἀφρόνων), being wise yourselves (φρόνιμοι ὄντες)! Paul reminded the Corinthians that they put up with fools because they were so wise. The assumption was that wise men can tolerate fools, because they know better. Do you tolerate foolish people because you know better?
