Disguised as ministers of righteousness (2 Cor. 11:15)

“Thus,

It is not strange

If Satan’s ministers

Also disguise themselves

As ministers

Of righteousness.

Their end

Will match

Their deeds.”

Paul said that it is not strange (οὐ μέγα οὖν) if Satan’s ministers (εἰ καὶ οἱ διάκονοι αὐτοῦ) also disguised (μετασχηματίζονται) themselves as ministers of righteousness (διάκονοι δικαιοσύνης).  Their end will (ὧν τὸ τέλος ἔσται) match their deeds (κατὰ ἔγρ ἔργα αὐτῶν).  Only the Pauline letters used this word μετασχηματίζονται, that means to change in fashion or outward appearance.  Paul explained that it would not be strange to see Satan’s ministers disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness.  However, he warned that it would all come out in the wash.  Their ending would match their deeds.  They would suffer eternal damnation for their current wickedness.  Paul insinuated that these false Christian apostles were really ministers of the devil.  Do you know anyone that you think is a minister of the devil?
