The Satan disguise (2 Cor. 11:14)

“No wonder!

Even Satan disguises himself

As an angel of light.”

καὶ οὐ θαῦμα· αὐτὸς γὰρ ὁ Σατανᾶς μετασχηματίζεται εἰς ἄγγελον φωτός.

Paul said that no wonder (καὶ οὐ θαῦμα) that even Satan (γὰρ ὁ Σατανᾶς) disguises himself (μετασχηματίζεται) as an angel of light (εἰς ἄγγελον φωτός).  Only the Pauline letters used this word μετασχηματίζεται, that means to change in fashion or outward appearance.  Paul went so far as to call these false apostles, the devil or Satan.  Paul said that they were devilish just like Satan who disguised himself as an angel of light.  The Corinthians should be careful in dealing with these pseudo-apostles.  Have you ever called anyone a disguised devil?
