Disobedience and obedience (2 Cor. 10:6)

“We are ready

To punish

Every disobedience,

When your obedience

Is completed.”

καὶ ἐν ἑτοίμῳ ἔχοντες ἐκδικῆσαι πᾶσαν παρακοήν, ὅταν πληρωθῇ ὑμῶν ἡ ὑπακοή.

Paul said that we are ready (καὶ ἐν ἑτοίμῳ ἔχοντες) to punish (ἐκδικῆσαι) every disobedience (πᾶσαν παρακοήν), when your obedience is completed (ὅταν πληρωθῇ ὑμῶν ἡ ὑπακοή).  Only the Pauline letters used this word παρακοήν, that means hearing amiss or disobedience.  Paul said that he would punish all the people disobeying once all the obedience was complete.  Paul assumed that the Corinthians would be obedient.  However, he was going to take care of those who were disobedient.  How do you deal with disobedience?
