Ministry to the saints (2 Cor. 9:1)

“Now it is superfluous

For me

To write to you

About the ministry

For the saints.”

Περὶ μὲν γὰρ τῆς διακονίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους περισσόν μοί ἐστιν τὸ γράφειν ὑμῖν·

Paul said, “Now it is superfluous for me to write to you (περισσόν μοί ἐστιν τὸ γράφειν ὑμῖν) about the ministry for the saints (Περὶ μὲν γὰρ τῆς διακονίας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους) in Jerusalem.”  Paul continued with his request for the aid to the Jerusalem Christians, as he referred to them as the saints.  However, he said that it would be superfluous to write any more to them about this ministry of the people in Jerusalem.  He had said enough.  They knew what was going on.  Have you ever heard enough about Christian missions?
