“Even if our gospel
It is concealed
To those who are perishing.”
εἰ δὲ καὶ ἔστιν κεκαλυμμένον τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἡμῶν, ἐν τοῖς ἀπολλυμένοις ἐστὶν κεκαλυμμένον,
Paul said even if (εἰ δὲ καὶ) our gospel (τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἡμῶν) is concealed (ἔστιν κεκαλυμμένον), it is concealed (ἐστὶν κεκαλυμμένον) to those who are perishing (ἐν τοῖς ἀπολλυμένοις). Paul indicated that if anything was hidden, it was hidden to those who were dying or perishing. The good people did not have a problem with the gospel. Perhaps the gospel was concealed or hidden to those wicked or condemned people, who would perish. There was no concealment on the part of Paul. The false receivers of the gospel may think that it is concealed or hidden, but that is because they themselves are dying or perishing. Is the gospel of Jesus concealed to you?
