All things are subject to God (1 Cor. 15:28)

“When all things

Are subjected to him,

Then the Son himself

Will also be subjected

To him

Who puts all things

In subjection

Under him.

Thus,

God may be everything

To everyone.”

ὅταν δὲ ὑποταγῇ αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα, τότε καὶ αὐτὸς ὁ Υἱὸς ὑποταγήσεται τῷ ὑποτάξαντι αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα, ἵνα ᾖ ὁ Θεὸς πάντα ἐν πᾶσιν.

Paul said that when all things are subjected to him (ὅταν δὲ ὑποταγῇ αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα), then the Son himself (τότε καὶ αὐτὸς ὁ Υἱὸς) will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him (ὑποταγήσεται τῷ ὑποτάξαντι αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα).  Thus, God may be everything to everyone (ἵνα ᾖ ὁ Θεὸς πάντα ἐν πᾶσιν).  Paul then indicated that the Son also was subject to God the Father.  All things were subject to God the Father, even within the Trinitarian concept of equal persons, the Father was still the Father.  God would be everything to everybody, no matter where they were.  However, there was a hint of subordination theology here in Paul as Jesus seemed to be subject to the God, the Father.  How are God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Son, equal?
