Die in Adam, but live in Christ (1 Cor. 15:22)

“As all die

In Adam,

All will be made alive

In Christ.”

ὥσπερ γὰρ ἐν τῷ Ἀδὰμ πάντες ἀποθνήσκουσιν, οὕτως καὶ ἐν τῷ Χριστῷ πάντες ζωοποιηθήσονται.

Paul said that as all die (πάντες ἀποθνήσκουσιν) in Adam (ἐν τῷ Ἀδὰμ πάντες), all will be made alive (πάντες ζωοποιηθήσονται) in Christ (οὕτως καὶ ἐν τῷ Χριστῷ).  Now Paul made it explicit.  Everyone died with Adam, the first sinful man.  At same time, everyone will come alive into eternal life with Jesus Christ.  This was a comparison between death and eternal life epitomized by two individuals, Adam and Jesus Christ.  These opposite ends of the spectrum emphasized human death with sinful Adam and human eternal life with Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  What is the value of Adam?
