Has not been raised,
You are still in your sins.”
εἰ δὲ Χριστὸς οὐκ ἐγήγερται, ματαία ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν, ἔτι ἐστὲ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ὑμῶν.
Paul said that if Christ has not been raised (εἰ δὲ Χριστὸς οὐκ ἐγήγερται), your faith is futile (ματαία ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν). You are still in your sins (ἔτι ἐστὲ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ὑμῶν). Paul then turned to the consequences on his readers in Corinth. If Christ has not been raised from the dead then their faith is futile or useless. They are still in a state of sin. Without the resurrection of Jesus, they would be unbelieving sinners. Christ was victorious over both death and sin. Do you believe that you are victorious over sin and death?
