I preached the good news (1 Cor. 15:1)

“My brothers!

Now I would remind you,

Of the good news of the gospel

That I preached to you.

You received it.

You stand in this gospel.”

Paul then said to his believing brothers (ἀδελφοί) that he wanted to remind them (Γνωρίζω δὲ ὑμῖν) of the good news of the gospel (τὸ εὐαγγέλιον) that he preached to them (ὃ εὐηγγελισάμην ὑμῖν).  They had received it (ὃ καὶ παρελάβετε) and now stand in this gospel (ἐν ᾧ καὶ ἑστήκατε).  Paul reminded his Corinthian believing brothers that they knew the good news of Jesus Christ that he had preached to them.  They had received this evangelical preaching and now were willing to stand by the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Paul put the gospel message of Jesus Christ at the center of his message.  Did you receive the good news of the gospel of Jesus?
