“But anyone united
To the Lord
Becomes one spirit
With him.”
ὁ δὲ κολλώμενος τῷ Κυρίῳ ἓν πνεῦμά ἐστιν.
Paul said that anyone united to the Lord (τῷ Κυρίῳ) becomes one spirit with him (ἓν πνεῦμά ἐστιν). Thus, Paul brought it back to the Lord. If they were united with the Lord, they were one spirit with him in a permanent, fruitful, and exclusive relationship, that began with their Baptism in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
