“God raised
The Lord.
He will also raise us
By his power.”
ὁ δὲ Θεὸς καὶ τὸν Κύριον ἤγειρεν καὶ ἡμᾶς ἐξεγερεῖ διὰ τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ.
Paul said that God (ὁ δὲ Θεὸς) raised the Lord (καὶ τὸν Κύριον ἤγειρεν). He will also raise us (καὶ ἡμᾶς ἐξεγερεῖ) by his power (διὰ τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ). Only the Pauline letters used this word ἐξεγερεῖ, that means to raise up or arouse. This was different that the word ἤγειρεν used to describe God’s action with Christ’s resurrection. However, we humans would also be raised up by God’s power. Our eternal resurrection with God would be different. Are you ready for an eternal life with God?
