Greet Philologus! (Rom 16:15)

“Greet Philologus!

Greet Julia!

Greet Nereus

And his sister!

Greet Olympas,

And all the saints

Who are with them!”

Paul said to greet (ἀσπάσασθε) Philologus, Julia (καὶ Ἰουλίαν), Nereus (Νηρέα) and his sister (καὶ τὴν ἀδελφὴν αὐτοῦ), as well as Olympas (καὶ Ὀλυμπᾶν), and all the saints who are with them (καὶ τοὺς σὺν αὐτοῖς πάντας ἁγίους).  Paul wanted the Roman Christians to greet the other Roman Christians Philologus, Julia, Nereus, and his sister, as well as Olympas.  They were to greet all the holy saints or other Christians who were with them. There was no further description about these people or any further indication of how Paul knew any of them.  Do you greet everyone that you meet?
