“What then are we to say?
Is there injustice
On God’s part?
By no means!”
Τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν; μὴ ἀδικία παρὰ τῷ θεῷ; μὴ γένοιτο.
Paul then asked another ironic question. “What then are we to say (Τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν)? Is there injustice (μὴ ἀδικία) on God’s part (παρὰ τῷ θεῷ)?” He immediately had his stock answer, “By no means (μὴ γένοιτο)!” Paul then brought up an important point. Was God unjust to Esau? Paul once again emphatically said no way. This was God’s plan. It had nothing to do with how they acted, whether good or bad. God wanted it this way. Case closed. Is life fair to everyone?
