We are the conquerors (Rom 8:37)

“In all these things,

We would be

More than conquerors,

Through him

Who loved us.”

ἀλλ’ ἐν τούτοις πᾶσιν ὑπερνικῶμεν διὰ τοῦ ἀγαπήσαντος ἡμᾶς.

Paul said that in all these things (ἀλλ’ ἐν τούτοις πᾶσιν), we would be more than conquerors (ὑπερνικῶμεν), through him who loved us (διὰ τοῦ ἀγαπήσαντος ἡμᾶς).  Only the Pauline letters used this word ὑπερνικῶμεν, that means to be more than conquerors or prevail mightily.  Paul said that they would not be brought to slaughter like sheep, although that seemed like what was happening.  Instead they would be mighty conquerors, prevailing over others.  They were not going to be sheep, but rather the mighty dominant ones.  They would triumph because of the love of God.  The love of God would make them the new champions.  Do you trust the love of God to make you a victorious champion?
