Christ Jesus intercedes for us (Rom 8:34)

“Who is to condemn?

Is it Christ Jesus,

Who died?

He was raised

From the dead.

He is at the right hand

Of God.

He indeed intercedes for us.”

Paul continued with his questions.  “Who is to condemn anyone (τίς ὁ κατακρινῶν)?  Is it Christ Jesus (Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς), who died (ὁ ἀποθανών)?”  He responded that Jesus was raised from the dead (μᾶλλον δὲ ἐγερθείς).  He is at the right hand (ὅς ἐστιν ἐν δεξιᾷ) of God (τοῦ Θεοῦ).  Thus, he indeed intercedes (ὃς καὶ ἐντυγχάνει) for all of us (ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν).  Paul asked who had the right to condemn anyone?  Only Jesus Christ, who died but was also raised from the dead.  He now is at the right hand of God where he intercedes for us also.  Jesus Christ was the only one who could condemn people because of his death and resurrection that put him at the right hand of God as our intercessor.  Do you understand Jesus as your intercessor?
