God raises the dead (Acts 26:8)

“Why is it thought incredible

By any of you

That God raises the dead?”

τί ἄπιστον κρίνεται παρ’ ὑμῖν εἰ ὁ Θεὸς νεκροὺς ἐγείρει;

The author of Acts indicated that Paul said or asked why was it judged so incredible (τί ἄπιστον κρίνεται) by any of them (παρ’ ὑμῖν) to believe that God (εἰ ὁ Θεὸς) raised the dead (νεκροὺς ἐγείρει)?  Paul asked this ironic or sarcastic question.  He wanted to know why it was so implausible that anyone should believe that God raised the dead.  That was not a foreign concept to Paul or the Pharisees.  What was wrong with that idea?
