The Jews from Asia show up (Acts 21:27)

“When the seven days

Were almost completed,

The Jews from Asia,

Who had seen him

In the Temple,

Stirred up

The whole crowd.

They seized him.”

The author of Acts indicated that when the seven days were almost completed (Ὡς δὲ ἔμελλον αἱ ἑπτὰ ἡμέραι συντελεῖσθαι), the Jews from Asia (οἱ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἀσίας Ἰουδαῖοι), who had seen him (θεασάμενοι αὐτὸν) in the Temple (ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ), stirred up (συνέχεον) the whole crowd (πάντα τὸν ὄχλον).  They seized him or laid hands on him (καὶ ἐπέβαλαν ἐπ’ αὐτὸν τὰς χεῖρας).  Acts was the only Greek biblical writing that used this word συνέχεον, that means to pour together, to confuse, or stir up.  When the week of Pentecost and the purification of Paul with the four other men was coming to an end, some of those Jews who had persecuted him in Asia, at Antioch of Pisidia (chapter 13:50), Iconium (chapter 14:2) and Ephesus (chapter 19:23-41), recognized him here in Jerusalem, since they had come to celebrate the Feast of Weeks, Pentecost, also.  There they saw Paul in the Jerusalem Temple.  As per usual, they stirred up the crowd and actually seized Paul.  Do you have enemies that you do not want to see?
