They stayed with the disciples in Tyre (Acts 21:4)

“We looked up

The disciples.

We stayed there

For seven days.

Through the Spirit,

They told Paul

Not to go on

To Jerusalem.”

The author of Acts indicated that they looked up (ἀνευρόντες) the disciples (δὲ τοὺς μαθητὰς) at Tyre.  They stayed there (ἐπεμείναμεν αὐτοῦ) for seven days (ἡμέρας ἑπτά).  Through the Spirit (διὰ τοῦ Πνεύματος), they (οἵτινες) told (ἔλεγον) Paul (τῷ Παύλῳ) not to go on (μὴ ἐπιβαίνειν) to Jerusalem (εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα).  Once again, the author of Acts with his “we” said that they found some disciples of Jesus in Tyre and stayed with them a week.  However, these disciples told Paul that the Holy Spirit had told them not to let Paul go on to Jerusalem.  There was some trouble brewing there.  Have you ever been warned about not going someplace?
