They sent Paul away (Acts 17:14)

“Then the believing brothers

Sent Paul away

To the coast.

And Timothy

Remained behind.”

The author of Acts indicated that then the believing brothers (οἱ ἀδελφοὶ) immediately (εὐθέως δὲ τότε) sent (ἐξαπέστειλαν) Paul (τὸν Παῦλον) away (πορεύεσθαι ἕως) to the coast (ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν).  However, both Silas (τε ὅ τε Σιλᾶς) and Timothy (καὶ ὁ Τιμόθεος) remained (ὑπέμεινάν) there (ἐκεῖ) behind in Beroea.  Once again, Paul was on the run trying to avoid these Jews who were after him.  The believing brothers sent Paul to the seacoast, but Silas and Timothy stayed behind, since Paul seemed to have been the flashpoint in all these disputes.  Do you cause fights and dissension?
