The jailer and his family were baptized (Acts 16:33)

“At the same hour

Of the night,

The jailer took them

And washed their wounds.

Then he

And his entire family

Were baptized

Without delay.”

The author of Acts indicated that at the same hour of the night (ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ὥρᾳ τῆς νυκτὸς), this jailer took (καὶ παραλαβὼν) Paul and Silas (αὐτοὺς) to wash (ἔλουσεν) their wounds (ἀπὸ τῶν πληγῶν).  Then he (αὐτὸς) and his entire family (καὶ οἱ αὐτοῦ ἅπαντες) were baptized (καὶ ἐβαπτίσθη) without delay (παραχρῆμα).  Not only did they listen to the word of God, but this unnamed jailer and his family were also baptized in the middle of the night. They were impatient to wait.  In Acts, people are baptized very quickly after showing faith and hearing the word of God.  The assumption is that Paul and Silas baptized him and his family in their house or near their house in the middle of the night.  Have you ever been to a night baptism?
